Dunkirk Non-Reverting Park Fund Correction Confirmed Complete

By The Blackford Ledger The Blackford Ledger

From the Dunkirk Park Board meeting on August 26, 2026

The Dunkirk Park Board chair confirmed that the non-reverting fund billing issue has been fully resolved. The Dunkirk City Council passed the necessary corrections at its August 24 meeting — Resolution 2026-5, a $12,443.15 transfer between park non-reverting funds, and Ordinance 2026-10, which moved pool admission and user fees to the park operating fund.

A non-reverting fund is a dedicated account where money carries over from year to year rather than returning to the general fund. With the correction in place, revenue from the pizza fundraiser has been deposited into the corrected fund, and pool fees will now flow into the regular non-reverting fund.
