The Jay County Development Corporation presented its quarterly report to the Dunkirk City Council, announcing that the city has received all 19 tax deed properties it pursued. The transfers had been delayed by legal description errors from an outside company.

JCDC also reported that RCS of Salina, Ohio has been selected as a housing developer for Dunkirk. A meeting with the developer was scheduled for June 9. The JCDC representative described "lots of activity" and said plans are "moving quickly," though no specific project details were disclosed.

In other JCDC news, a summer intern named Max — a Jay County High School graduate heading to Anderson University — is starting work on an infill lot inventory for Dunkirk.
