From the Dunkirk Board of Works meeting on May 11, 2026

The Dunkirk Board of Works and City Council approved an agreement transferring $22,077 worth of pagers from Jay County to the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department. The agreement, drafted by city attorney Wes, transfers ownership to Dunkirk, and the fire department assumes all future liability for the equipment.

The transfer is related to a broader radio and pager upgrade in the county. County Commissioner Dwayne Monroe informed the council of the agreement at the May 11 meeting.
