Dunkirk's City Council approved more than $710,000 in claims Monday, including one account-payable batch totaling $636,978.77.

The first vote covered account-payable voucher numbers 36319 and 36480 for $636,978.77. Council then approved a second claims or allowance docket totaling $73,798.43, bringing the combined total to $710,777.20.

The transcript does not include line-item detail for either batch, so the public record in the meeting itself shows only the totals and the fact that council approved them. No breakdown was read aloud for contracts, capital purchases, payroll-related items, or other expenses inside the two dockets.

Even without that detail, the vote moved a large amount of city spending authority forward in one meeting.
