Dunkirk approved the purchase of a Bad Boy 61-inch stand-up riding mower from Sutter Brothers for $7,500. The 2024 model will be used to maintain the 19 tax properties the city recently acquired.

The council approved funding the purchase with approximately $4,000 from the blight fund and the remainder from the city's rainy day fund. City crews have divided the 19 properties among themselves for mowing. The mayor said he also wants to hire a part-time mower to help maintain the lots.
