Dunkirk Approves Generator Contract, Accounts Payable, and Board of Works Updates

The Dunkirk City Council approved several routine items at its August 10 meeting.
The council approved a $5,765 service contract for a city generator. Council Member Dan presented the item. The vendor name was not clearly audible during the meeting.
The council also unanimously approved accounts payable vouchers 36058 through 36193, totaling $260,291.81, and payroll dockets 728 through 845.
At the Board of Works meeting, staff reported the north ditch has been mowed and sprayed. The city pool has closed for the season. Electrical poles have been laid out at the pickleball court behind the park, and the contractor appears to be preparing to install lights. A rules and regulations sign has been posted on the court fence.
The Board of Works approved a $1,296.40 invoice from HWC Engineering for comprehensive plan and extraterritorial jurisdiction work related to the city's buffer zone effort, paid from the zoning professional services budget.
Street department crews swept main streets and side streets and painted railroad crossing markers.
