Dr. Biddle Retires; BCS Federation President Steps Down After 9 Years
From the Blackford County Schools Board meeting on May 19, 2026
Two notable personnel changes were announced at the Blackford County Schools board meeting.
Dr. Biddle is officially retiring from the district for the second time. Biddle was brought back after an initial retirement a few years ago to work at the junior high. The departure is listed as a resignation but is effectively a retirement.
Separately, the outgoing Federation president — who has served nine years leading the teachers' union — gave emotional remarks praising the relationship between the board, administration, and teachers, saying she "didn't have horror stories" to share at state meetings. A new leadership team is taking over, and the outgoing president, a speech therapist, will mentor the incoming team for one year.
