From the Dunkirk City Council meeting on October 26, 2026

Dunkirk passed an ordinance Oct. 26 to allow rewards earned through city credit cards to be used for city purchases.

Clerk-Treasurer Lowe said the city's newer credit-card policy produces reward points or cash-back value, and the city needed authority to apply those benefits for public use.

The city attorney said the points could be used toward purchases benefiting the city, but not for personal gain.
