From the Dunkirk City Council meeting on August 10, 2026

The mayor reminded council members about the August 26 county meeting on HEA 1001 and local income tax distribution, expected to be held at the courthouse auditorium due to anticipated high attendance.

The clerk-treasurer reported that she attended a webinar on the topic and received the recording. She offered to share the link with council members before the meeting so they can review the material in advance. The webinar is separate from a PowerPoint presentation previously distributed.

The mayor expressed uncertainty about whether the current HEA 1001 framework will hold: "I'm not sure that they won't change it next year before we do anything."
