Blackford County Council appointed Ryan Goodspeed as its representative to the task force referred to during the meeting as the MUST, a group tied to recent property-tax assessment changes.

Jack Beckley said local governments now have to negotiate with municipalities and other stakeholders so services can remain funded. He told council Goodspeed had agreed to serve as the council's official appointee.

Patrick Cale made the motion to appoint Goodspeed, and Jim Weiseman seconded it. The appointment passed after roll call without any voiced dissent in the transcript. Beckley also pointed to another meeting the following Wednesday at 6 p.m. and encouraged other council members to attend, even though Goodspeed would be the formal representative.
