County Approves Up to $20,000 in Bridge 33 Damage Engineering
Blackford County Commissioners approved an engineering task order not to exceed $20,000 after highway officials said wind-project equipment damaged Bridge 33 on 400 South between 500 East and 600 East.
The highway department reported that a Leeward crane move damaged guardrail and concrete at the bridge. Commissioners approved the task order for inspection work, repair plans, and bid specifications.
Officials said Leeward Renewable Energy should reimburse the county for all repair-related costs. The total cost of repairs was not known at the meeting.
