City Awards $189,391 Paving Contract to E&B Paving

Hartford City's Board of Works awarded the 2026 paving contract to E&B Paving after opening sealed bids on February 2.
Two companies submitted bids: E&B Paving at $189,391.08 and Brooks Construction at $197,405.00. E&B Paving's bid was $8,013.92 lower. Mayor Eckstein moved to award the bid to E&B Paving, contingent on a review confirming the bid covers the full project scope. The board approved the award 3-0. DPW Superintendent Jeff Thomas presented the bids.
