Blackford lost 36–6 to Madison-Grant on October 16, closing its regular season on a night that included senior recognition and homecoming ceremonies.
The Bruins forced a three-and-out on Madison-Grant's first possession, but the visitors scored two rushing touchdowns to lead 12–0 after the first quarter. Blackford stopped both two-point attempts. Madison-Grant added three touchdowns and converted all three two-point tries in the second quarter, taking a 36–0 lead into halftime.
Neither team scored in the third quarter. Blackford forced a punt, and quarterback No. 5 picked up a first down on a run during the Bruins' next possession.
Blackford reached the end zone in the fourth quarter on a fourth-down option play. The quarterback kept the ball before pitching to Taylor, who scored. A flag initially put the touchdown in doubt, but it was waved off. The extra-point kick fell short.
Miller recovered a late Madison-Grant fumble to give Blackford one final possession. The Bruins did not score again.
Pregame ceremonies recognized fall-sport participants. A homecoming court presentation followed at halftime.
Blackford will host Lapel the following week in the first round of the sectional, the game broadcast announced.
