Blackford County School Board Filing Deadline Is Tomorrow at Noon

The statewide deadline for school board candidates to file for the November 2026 election is Thursday, June 18, at noon. As of today — day 38 of the 39-day filing window — no Blackford County School Board candidate filings have been reported in news coverage.
Other Indiana counties are seeing filing activity. Lawrence County, Hamilton Southeastern, and Vanderburgh County have all had candidates file. Vanderburgh County saw its first partisan school board candidate under recent Indiana legislation that made school board races partisan.
It is not known which BCS board seats are up for election this November.
