From the Blackford County Council meeting on October 14, 2026

IRACS Supervisor Keith Adams reported seven successful re-entry completions and 317 third-quarter engagements to Blackford County Council on October 14.

Adams also reported 18 new intakes, eight reactivations and 101.17 peer-support hours. He described contact for 30 days after release, with check-ins every seven days. Participants who wanted continued support could then connect with a community peer coach.

The report included 58 Matrix groups and 87 group hours. Adams said one participant moved to short-term treatment and two moved to sober living.

The council had heard a $50,000 request from opioid settlement funds for the jail-based recovery program’s 2027 budget in July. No new funding action occurred during the October report. The figures presented were program activity and completion measures, not an independent assessment of repeat offending.
