Blackford County Moving Forward on $381,400 Used Paver Purchase
From the Blackford County Commissioner Meeting on June 1, 2026
The highway superintendent told commissioners the county is moving ahead on purchasing a used 2023 model road paver for $381,400. The plan is to split the payment between the 2026 and 2027 budgets.
A new paver would cost over $500,000 — the superintendent noted Randolph County paid $500,000 for a new one three years ago. The used machine has not yet been physically inspected; the superintendent said it is currently "out on loan."
