Blackford County Business Named Indiana Veteran-Owned Business of the Year

Governor Mike Braun proclaimed May 4–8, 2026 as Small Business Week in Indiana, and the Indiana Small Business Development Center is presenting its 2026 Small Business Impact Awards. Elkins Mowing & Landscaping, based in Blackford County, was named Veteran-Owned Business of the Year.
The company has grown from a small operation into a business serving residential, commercial, and military clients across more than 100 acres.
