From the Blackford County Council meeting on October 14, 2026

Blackford County Council received disability-access and nondiscrimination training October 14 after a presenter said only Council Members Beckley and Weiseman had returned advance completion confirmations.

The presenter, who was not identified in this portion of the meeting, said the training had been emailed roughly two months earlier. The in-meeting overview covered access for people with disabilities, workplace accommodations and nondiscrimination requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VI.

Signature sheets were circulated. The discussion did not establish whether every acknowledgment was ultimately collected.

The presenter linked compliance to eligibility for federal funding and directed complaints toward county forms, the auditor’s office or coordinator Lancaster. No loss of federal money or finding of unlawful discrimination was announced.
