600 East Culvert Closure Announced in Blackford County

A large culvert replacement was scheduled to close 600 East between State Road 26 and 100 South beginning October 15, according to the highway report presented to Blackford County Council.
The report estimated a 10–12-day closure. It was an announced schedule, not confirmation that work had begun.
The highway presentation also said Washington Township road upgrades for the Prairie Creek Wind Project were underway, with additional paving hoped to be finished within about two weeks. Full-width paving would leave no room for vehicles to pass, and the presenter asked farmers for patience.
A second structure replacement was discussed, but its location was not clearly identified. No cost for either replacement was presented.
