Upon release, he was taken to the Blackford County Security Center and preliminarily charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, resisting law enforcement, operating while intoxicated, and possession or use of a legend drug.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Montpelier-Harrison Township Fire Department, IU/Lifeline EMS, Blackford County Sheriff's Office, Hartford City Police Department, and Indiana State Police. Agencies involved in the apprehension included Hartford City Police Department, Blackford County Sheriff's Office, Indiana State Police, Fairmount Police Department, and Eaton Police Department.
