Dunkirk Housing Project Update: Developer Interviews Set for May 14

Three developers have submitted proposals for a planned apartment and housing development on Dunkirk's south side, Mayor Jack Robbins told the council Monday.

The developers will be interviewed on May 14, and the mayor said he will bring information about the proposals back to the council afterward. The project would build 32 to 50 housing units on 10 annexed acres near 1001 S. Main St.

Separately, the city is acquiring 19 properties through the tax sale process. Dunkirk is working with Jay County Development Corporation to attract developers for infill housing projects on those properties — a separate effort from the main development.
